Sync Client wont open - Win10 64
Ive used PW6 successfully in the past but in the last few weeks, it simply wont open in.
I dont see the icon in the task tray, but task manager says the withsix.com client (32bit) is running as a background process.
When I try to connect to my account from the web, it says it requires the sync client and is trying to start it, but it never opens it. I see no Sync splash screen client start up or anything.
Have tried uninstall/reinstall. Also tried creating a new account. All to no avail.
Have found where the program is install installed (under User), but i cant see any error logs to post.
Running W10 64.
@skiman101 heya, sorry to hear about the issues. So far I can't reproduce this on a clean Win7 system, but im setting up another clean Windows 10 testing environment and will check that too.
How much memory/cpu is it using? (and how many sync.exe processes do you find in the Processes tab?)
If you know how to work with the commandline, you could try starting the app from the commandline, from the location you found earlier.
It should output some additional info. Odd though that you would not get any error dialog indicating what's up...
Thanks for suggestions Sickboy.
The client is using 0% CPU and 18.7M memory. There is only one "The withSIX.com client (32bit)" running. Screen cap - https://gyazo.com/73794cee0831b7a8b1ccbb8bfe4ddaa4
I've tried Win 7 compatibility mode as well, no different.
Product version is 1.3.8.
Have tried using the command line option, no different.
Also tried installing the beta version of the client, no different.
Also checked my java version is correct and also tried using Firefox (which supports java in Win10).
@skiman101 puzzling indeed, what is the last entry when running from commandline?
The app needs .NET Framework 4.6 or later, and VC++ Redist 2015, 2013 and 2012 (no java)
Perhaps you can try installing/repairing the VC Redists:
